RHINOFEST WRAP – UP
Rhinofest 2012 was a huge success filled with sunny skies and smiling faces! With the help and support of our wonderful school families, along with the community at large, the Rylander PTA raised over $30,000!!! Remember, this money directly benefits the school and our children.
The PTA would like to thank all of the volunteers who donated their time, talents and materials to support Rhinofest, especially the amazing Homeroom and Assistant Homeroom parents for their hard work and generosity. Their dedication to the Class Baskets, Bake Walk and the beautiful class art projects contributed to making the day a success.
We also want to thank all of our amazing teachers, particularly the brave ones who got in the dunk tank! Plus the awesome Art teachers who leant their ideas and talents to help create the Class Art Projects. Thank you to every teacher who selflessly gave up their free time so our children could enjoy the special Teacher Parties.
Local businesses also supported Rhinofest through their participation and donations:
- HEB at Fry and Grand Parkway donated all of the drinks
- CiCi's Pizza provided all of the pizzas
- Falcon Ranch HOA and Pediatric Dental Safari were generous sponsors
- Mission Burrito, Bahama Mama and Tony's Barbeque provided delicious concessions
- RockSolid Tae Kwon Do presented a demonstration and let the kids try their skills at breaking a board.
- Justin Beckendorff served as our amazing Auctioneer
The PTA would like to extend an extra big thanks to Mrs. Simmons, Ms. Fair, Mr. Smith, Tami Bond and the office staff for being so accommodating through the planning and execution of Rhinofest.

Join the Rylander PTA on Tuesday May 8 at 11am for the final PTA General Assembly meeting of the year. We’ll say goodbye to the current Officers and Board who have worked so hard this year, and install the new PTA Officers.
We will also recognize the wonderful volunteers who have contributed to the many events and programs that make our school great.

Help our community GO GREEN!!! If you’re upgrading your small electronic devices and games this holiday season, don’t throw them away! The Rylander PTA will be collecting the following used items to recycle:

Each item will be assessed a value, but large or small, recycling now helps protect our children’s future. Together, we’ll be helping the environment, and raising money for the school. Watch for updates in the Tuesday Bulletin for collection dates.
